I saw on the teaser video of the 2016 California Special Mustang that it has lights mounted in the hood vents which blink with the turn signals.

Has anybody done an install of this particular lighting on a 2015?
I like the looks and would like to mount some on my car.

Step 1: buy a waterproof 12V LED lamp with foam adhesive backing (like these units)

Step 2: mount the LED in the hood vent.

Step 3: remove the hood liner.

Step 4: run the wires down the hood, use duct tape to secure to the hood

Step 5: run the wires down the hinges

Step 6: run the wires to the front blinkers

Step 7: use Posi-taps to tap off the blinker wires

Step 8: test the installs

Step 9: reinstall the hood liner

Step 10: enjoy!

Seems pointless since I can only see the drivers side from the drivers seat. I'd always wonder if the passenger side is working. :headbonk:

Funny! You want to install them and I'm hoping for the delete kit with replacment vents. IMO this add is a total Chic item. These make no sense to me. The car was a complete 4 year re-do and the engineering team just had to come up with something while sitting around. The car needed no improvement this year.

The part for the heat extractor + turn signal is on fordparts.com. No price yet on the part.

It's a visual reminder for the other visual reminder and the audible reminder that you're turn signals are on...?

That being said, I have a '68 Charger R/T that has turn signal indicators in the hood. I guess they could be useful for those people that love to leave their signals on while they're driving straight.

Personally i believe this is more to pay homage to the classic Mustangs. My 68 Coupe has turn signals in the hood. You can actually see both of the turn signals in the 68, obviously you cannot see both in the S550. I'm interested in it just because my 68 has them and I like the design ques from the classics.
