Anyone know how to change the 3-blinks to 5? I think 3 is slight too short for a proper lane change.

I was able to change to 5 blinks in VW Jetta GLI. Would like to do the same for my Mustang.

I read that you would need to use FORScan for that. I'm checking into it along with other changes with FORScan.

Based on Mustangs (and most cars) observed on the road before taking delivery of my 2016, I was surprised to find my new 'Stang even had turn signals.

They come standard, unlike BMWs.

Am i not understanding the question? Leave it on for a few seconds and you'll get many blinks, no?

Any videos that show what your mentioning about the jetta?

Yes, looks like you can change the 3 to 5 blinks turn signals. The change was on F-150 truck, so I have to check Mustang once I purchase the dongle to connect laptop.

I was able to change turn signal blinks to 5 on 2013 and 2014 Jetta. You need access to the dongle, quite expensive. I borrowed one from a friend. I no longer have Jetta.

if you just tap the blinker stick it will do a preset 3 blinks. if you hit it into position, it will blink until the turn is executed fully.

When you touch the turn signal stick slightly up or down (without fully engaging), turn signal blinks 3 times and quit, auto blinks. I want to change the blinks from 3 to 5, giving more time to change lanes.

What does 5 mean? Also is the 3 where it lights up each piece of the light once and quits? Does 5 mean it lights up the last 2 after the first set?
I never had issue just fully engaging my turn signal, and just tapping it back. Guess I’m too used to that.

You can change the momentary blinks from 3 up to 7. Still involves using Forscan and changing perimeter on one module in the sccm area. I'm going to attempt changing mine today over to 5 flashes.

Just did this on my car last night. Bought a forscan compatible adapter from Amazon for $20, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DFDXZT6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The link in the second post gives you a great starter guide to Forscan. I was having a lot of fun personalizing my car last night with the info from this forum.

Snipped from the spreadsheet I found here:
SCCM 724-01-01 : xxxx x?xx xx Change ? To: 0-3=1 flash, 4-5=2 flashes, 6-7=3 flashes, 8-9=4 flashes, A-B=5 flashes, C-D=6 flashes, E-F=7 flashes

This is the first thing I do to all the cars I get lately, but until this mustang last week all my cars over the past few years were VWs and I was pleasantly surprised when the cable was $20 vs $300 for VCDS.
