I want to add hood scoop and quarter scoops to my GT. I am wondering whether to go with body matching Deep Impact Blue or Satin Black.

Opinions?

I disliked any panels that dont match.
Its like trying to accentuate the offset colored panels (look what i got) instead of enhancing the car itself cohesively.

A bit ricey too, theres tons of mustangs here with black panels (scoops, heat extractors, spoilers) on non black cars. It looks abit cheap..

Im mulling over pulling the trigger on the MMD scoop.

I agree with chaospiece. When I see pieces that aren't color matched my first impression is they bought the parts but couldn't afford to paint them. However I have seen some that looked nice. For example, those parts are part of a color accent scheme you already have working on the vehicle.

I like black hood vents/spoiler/wheels/roof but i think any non matching actual body parts just look like a stick on after thought

Stick to color matched parts. The black would look ricer in my opinion.

Which way are you leaning?

I have given it more thought........plus had to take about a 40 mile drive this afternoon. Looking at every thing in sight that had scoops. Going to have them painted DIB before the install.......using Ford supplied paint. It will delay the install a day or two.

Can't wait to them on the car.

If you are interested in the Ford Hood Scoop, I have a brand new one in satin black I'm trying to sell. PM Me.

I was planning on going with Satin Black on mine but ended up caving and getting a stalker hood.
