nah I am keeping mine. I custom ordered it, waited months to get it, got a low interest rate, got a great deal on extended warranty. The new one going to cost more, interest rates will be higher, and the gen 4 motor might have more emission devices, and of course harder to tune. I predict the gen 3 will be the more sought after motor long term.

Agreed. There is no denying that the 2018+ motor is damn near perfection when it comes to reliability and performance. If I could get my hands on one for a reasonable price and plop it in my 2016 I would just because I prefer the front end of the 15-17 gen. I suspect it will be the sought after motor well into the future. Lots of tunability and again, that reliability with stock performance.

Can't decide quite yet. I love my 2016 but I think I will need to test drive a S650 to see if I like it more. Definitely attracted to that 2024 vert though. Looks like it would bite me if touched it with a dirty hand.

I'll be keeping mine for quite awhile. I got a great deal at 36k for a 1 owner car out of GA, PP1, A10, AE, Digital cluster. Has alot of miles at 86k but the PO commuted 90+ miles 1 way to work through the week with it. Hardly a scratch and near perfect interior.

Yeah that is a commute. I'd say you got a deal, all those highway miles are equivalent to say ~25-30k miles of wear. Its a baby.

Unless we are talking 405 or I25 stop-and-go, bumper-to-bumper traffic highway miles... then I'd be a bit nervous.

I don't think it was much stop and go. Brake pads are oem and have loads of life left. Far as I can tell it was from west point up i-85 to around college park.

Hard NO for me. No tunability takes it off the list. Next new performance car will likely not be domestic.

Unless we are talking 405 or I25 stop-and-go, bumper-to-bumper traffic highway miles... then I'd be a bit nervous.

I'd rather a car with 30k stop and go miles than 86k highway miles. Can't really do much to an engine putting around at 30mph, it probably lived most of it's life under 2k rpm.

But you can surely rip on it on the highway. How many of those 86k miles were spent at redline? My guess alot more than the guy driving in bumper to bumper LA traffic.

I plan to keep mine for a long time. If a Shelby is introduced in the S650 era, I will likely add it to my garage but will not trade my S550. Lack of tuning capabilities in the S650 wouldn’t bother me if I bought a Shelby.

Oh there will definitely be another Shelby for the S650 gen... Ford already sniffed out the profits on that one. Greedy bastards... giving us what we want.
