Open to opinions on this new 20” in this gloss bronze with Nittos. Just blacked out side fender emblems and did rear trunk emblem delete.

Bronze and red go together well. If you want to keep the bronze theme, you can actually buy the bronze S650 emblems now (even though you just did the black emblems).

I personally like to keep color themes matching, so I went with black emblems and black SVE CFX wheels, which are also 20” and mimic the GT500 CFTP wheels. Here’s the CFX on my car.

If you’re thinking Nitto G2, I’d consider a different tire. They’re terrible in wet and just ok in dry. There’s better tires out there IMO.

Thanks MAGS1. I should have researched the emblems before buying the black. Going bronze with the bronze emblems and wheels on race red would look amazing. Your ride looks amazing with the black CFTP wheels 👍

These wheels are offered by LMR and the pricing is very good compared to other sellers on this tire wheel package.. Unfortunately they only offer the Nittos and MTs on this wheel package.

Velgen makes a really nice wheel, so you’ll really like them. Do you have a local tire place that you like? I ordered just the wheels from LMR and had my local Discount Tire mount a set of Continental Extreme Contact Sport on them. Just a thought, I also understand the one and done wheel/tire package. If you plan on mostly dry driving, the Nittos will be ok. They’re just not the greatest IMO but there are plenty that like them as well.

I agree with above. I did the package with the Nitto's and have regretted it ever since. They are halfway decent if it's above 60 degrees out and dry DRY. Wet or cold and game over. I should have done just the wheels and bought tires separately. I will go DWS 06 next time..

And, yes Velgen wheels are amazing and look fantastic, I opted for Gunmetal on my Grabber blue :)

Thanks. I don’t daily drive my S550 and don’t drive it in the rain and it will be going to Florida with me when I move there. So it will be driven on dry roads all the time unless I get caught in thunderstorm. I do like the one and done option and after researching the LMR pricing it’s very fair for you get with their tire and wheel package.

The bronze S650 emblems are pretty slick. I got a set but I still need to put the grille and sides on. They aren’t cheap though.

I am also a bronze wheel enjoyer 😎

I bought my first set of Velgen, as a package from LMR. I chose the MT tire and ended up selling the tires within a few months to a guy who put them on a 7 series BMW. I do have the Nitto g2 as a front tire on my second set of Velgen, but the rears are Nitto rii. I only run this combination during the summer and it works great for me.

thanks m3. Appreciate your experience. Makes me feel better about the Nittos since my car is going to Florida so cold temps will never be an issue.

No problem, just want to make sure you noticed my rear is the Nitto drag radial. I would say in Florida, and careful driving when it rains and you should be ok. I will also say, if you tend to be really aggressive on the throttle, then you will likely be looking for the Michelin or Continental pretty quickly :)
