Help obtaining GT/CS emblem part number

Recently spoke to a California dealer who told me this part is the entire deck lid and the emblem is only sold with that.

Ford Part # NR3Z6342528CB - $1,310.25.

apparently on National back order

Not from a dealer. You would have to find one off a salvaged car.

That doesn't sound right. Ford would want to cut down expenses as much as possible and use the deck lids and cameras for various models. Having a model specific to the GT/CS yet having all the same other parts makes zero sense and costs a lot of cents.

And yet that is what they do. No different then the S550 California Specials.

Fair enough!!!! I'm very surprised about that for a brand like Ford. Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, blah blah blah. Luxury or Exotics I understand but the Mustang is a wide brand!

In this case and many others no, You would need to purchase the entire decklid panel.

Not good for new car but, you could have THIS problem.

I thought of that decklid to maybe use but the price is high and retain my front side pony, I also thought it would look off cause of earlier GT/CS script such as my embossed logo seats. But I realized that Ford still re-used the same seats for the new exterior GT/CS scripts and still retains the non italic GT/CS. they should have changed the interior script at least to match the exterior?
