GT500 Carbon Fiber Fender Emblems

It has been said that the military operates on finding an 80% percent solution to any problem before moving forward. The time/effort it takes to go from 80% to 90% almost doubles. 90% to 100% doubles again.

As a perfectionist, I try to get to that 90% solution before releasing any part to the hands of others. Perfecting any item takes time. Carbon is such a manual human driven process, and it takes a few tries to get each new part right. After receiving the most recent pieces I feel confident we have hit that mark everyone would be happy to install on their car.

Production pieces are going to be laid up next, for delivery to those that have ordered. These are definitely sexy enough to be installed without a vinyl overlay. Thew few I had made and test fitted are really good quality. I do realize that ordering vinyl can be a holdup. Being that other vinyl producers exist in the market, I am evaluating if it is necessary to offer them going forward.

Price on future pieces may adjust up slightly as I spend more time ensuring these are finished to near perfection, but removing the cost of the vinyl might offset it.

Looks like the first couple of installs have gone just as planned. More on the way.

I like the idea, but like the OEM, it needs more contrast between the features and the CF to define or enhance the original OEM emblem, the cobra snake. I believe vinyl overlays were suggested, but something of this magnitude should have something more permanent like paint or permanent inlays in the CF. If I was in the market, I would pay for those enhancements.

It definitely needs to have the CF stand out against the snake highlight but despite a valiant effort, this was the best I could come up with. Obviously, the base color would need to match the car but here's an "FPB Hue".

Thanks, Mike. It isn't what I see in my head but getting PS to replicate the mental image is challenging. I tried some of the OEM colors and here's my best approximation of RR.

Hello everyone. is someone willing to sell an OEM trunk take off logo? Also, does anyone have the height and width of the snake logo on the deck lid? I ordered a decklid and the snake got demolished during shipping i can’t find a replacement for it. Shipping insurnace not willing to cover cost. Thanks
