Got my GLoc R8's in the mail today, couple days before my first track event with this car. However, reading the instructions it states turning the rotors is recommend before installing them on rotors using OEM/different pads. Is this absolutely necessary? I think with only 2700 miles, just cleaning the rotors off would be okay.
Read those instructions again, sand them to remove the pad residue. Don't Turn Them.

Now that some vacation time is here, I got a chance to install the BMR subframe chassis brace. Lord behold that there are two metal pieces that fold in the way of pushing the silver spacers to their correct position in the sub frame. So I had to take a flat head screw driver and press them out of the way. Once that was done, putting the brace into position and bolting everything together was pretty simple. 100lb ft of torque bolting to the sub frame and 170lb ft of torque to bolt the control arm back into place. 140lb ft of torque is what I ended going with to put the wheels/tires back on.

Let's see how this brace works and install the Cradle Lock Out. Trying to identify changes in the small mods each step of the way.

Did a thing today! The BMR Cradle Lockout with the Steeda kit was the finishing touches of eliminating wheel hop to compliment The Michelin 4s. The rear end now feels as one moving piece and planted. Now for some spirited driving to see how the sub frame enhances the front end and some track time.

The car plants it's ass down now where the power can transfer to the pavement. There is no jerking feeling anymore and as your turning...you can feel the rear end turn with the car...not as if turning by itself. The IRS feels solid now with just the different tires and the lockout. Still working independently, however more efficient. Going forward I will always recommend tires first which is about 75% the wheel hop problem and the cradle lockout will finish the job! After market shocks and struts will solve the squat problem with the car. Once you control the rebound and compression of the car, your suspension will be ass tight. Get use to these two mods and finish off the suspension in the next month or two.

I scored a Ford Racing cat back w/ X-pipe fabricated to the OEM GT350 mufflers with the IKON valance from a previous member on here. The valance has minor flaws that I can deal with till I get stateside and order the GT350 valance. Open and closed valve switch inside the cabin for easy access. Just ran the wiring from the 12 volt inside the arm rest and the rest of the wiring back to the mufflers. Neat clean install!

Finally got around to changing the oil and transmission fluid. Huge difference in the filters. I tell ya.... that Syncro Shift II is some pretty good fluid! Shifts are better, no clatter going on. Can only imagine how it's going to feel when I get the MGW installed. Ran out of time at our skill center, so tomorrow back to add the diff fluid and upgraded brake fluid before my first track outing.

Well I had my first HPDE and I am somewhat thankful the track was wet. I learned more about the car and my capabilities in certain situations versus others. Although I went extremely slow on this track ,is because its so unforgiving if you don't respect it. Everything from the tire choice, weight of the car itself, oversteer/understeer and shifter was felt. I clearly understand now why others say, learn the car first before you start upgrading stuff. Find the faults, weakness (driver mod) and attack those. Got my first two laps on video and hope to get them uploaded shortly.

First HPDE on the Nordschleife during a raining wet afternoon. Nerves were a little tense.
