I feel a bit bad now...Even though they are probably all spoken for by this point lol I e-mailed him too. If he can tell me when they might be built and it is earlier than the other guy I have been talking to I may switch (of course, if he still has them left! lol). I feel bad because the other dealership is a small town with one allocation and the first person to be nice to me...but if I can get it months sooner then I wouldn't feel too bad sending someone else their way for an MSRP deal...
Im in the same boat, but I am going to stick to my guns and go with the original dealer, even if it is farther and means waiting longer. They were nice to me, not going to double back on them

Yeah...I'll probably end up doing the same. Probably forced since this guy will likely have he last one coming late even if there are spots left. My dealer isn't even going to take deposits until the orders start getting pulled and vins assigned though so it's an unsure wait.

I sent an email too. Probably too late at this point, but I'm ready. My brother lives in Tulsa and it would be a good excuse for a trip..

You don’t want to know
If you guys are changing dealers in hopes of getting an earlier build, you may have screwed yourselves. The decision on what gets built when is up to the regional manager in each area, and that process has not yet started. In addition - fair or not - there's a lot of posturing and negotiating that goes into the process ("If you take 150 Escort manuals, I'll get your next GT350 scheduled a month earlier"), and some dealers will get pushed back on that basis alone.

Good luck to everyone!

This did bug me a little, but I guess to each his own. I was only going after it because my dealer said they would tell me the price when the car comes in. I don't like being left hanging like that. I understand they want to get the maximum cash from the deal, but I still don't like it. If I had a MSRP deal lined up I would not be looking. Heck, if the dealer would have been willing to negotiate and we could have come to a specific arrangement I would not be looking, either.

So how does that specifically work? My reservation is for Jan 1, 2016 but the dealership said the car could potentially come this winter. That's...kind of a big time gap to make guesses. I would assume my car will come in the spring of 16.

Of curse this thread, and sharing what I found was more geared for those that could not find a MSRP deal. I do not think anyone was wanting to bale-ship on there MSRP deals, it was just talk about finding one closer, and sooner, but in the end w/o anyone input they decided to stick where they were. No big deal. Let jsut wait and hope that at least three NEW people will have MSRP deals.....

Side note; The ADM thread is still going strong, yet with a "little phone work" you can find a MSRP deal. You may not find it next door to you, that's where the little work comes in. Also a little fact, over 50% of all cars over 50K are bought out of state. (thank you, ebay and the internet) And this number has been growing every year.

There's a profound point with this statement I think. I got my car at a VERY small dealership markup. I was able to get stripes "included" in the whole pricing of the car too. I looked around and found cars with similar markups and all or smaller but the cost of transportation to get to the dealership, gas, and such, it actually just wasn't worth it.

I didn't say anyone did. That's why I started with "If."

The bottom line is that as of right now, no 2016 GT350s have been assigned production dates. And I agree that there likely are a lot of good deals out there waiting to be made; all the sales reported on this site, if they're real, only represent about 2% of the total 2016 production run. We're just louder and more enthusiastic about the GT350 than the rest of the world. :headbang:

I wonder if people are confusing "production" for allocation. My allocation is supposedly for 1/1/2016. But I have no clue what my production date is.

Agreed...."allocations schedule" is the key here, as some have said some know there allocations schedule and other do not, or wont tell because they do not want a canceled order on a car that is a 2QT 2016 schedule...just my thoughts.

Either way let's get these cars ordered, and start driving to events ! meet some good people:love:(maybe some single girls that love cars)..lol and drink some beer:cheers:
