Believe me...it is extremely easy to do and can be completed in less than 25 minutes (including the time to watch the video a few times). The instructions and video do an excellent job of portraying the effort required. I was little hesitant at first and watched video about 5 times prior to diving in. So glad I did it and got rid of the prop rod. Give it a shot...you'll be thanking yourself afterwards :) I went with Oxford White brackets and DIB struts and LOVE the look afterwards.

Redline had not announced that they had a GT350 hood strut when I bought mine.
I did the Ford Performance and had to mount them backwards - strut mount pointing in towards the engine instead of out to the fender. It worked, but had to cut a big chunk off the left side of the battery cover to make it fit.
Works fine though, just wish I had known that Redline was making a bracket to fit.
Anybody giving you advice with a Boss 302 or regular GT - ignore it! The hood brackets are completely different on the GT350.

I have both and they will fit.

To clarify, I meant the Ford Performance struts will fit on the redline brackets. I think they might be slightly different sizes, but they do go on. Don't know if they will function completely correct after they are on.

And as far as I know, the Ford Performance will not fit on the GT350.

Just be patient. Ford performance will eventually make a strut kit for our cars. I don't want the redline struts. I want Ford stuff. I even ordered a ford racing license plate.

The Ford stuff isn't Ford. Hillbank has them made and pays Ford a licensing fee. I bought the Ford performance ones from Hillbank and all the hardware was junk. I had to buy new hardware from Redline to make the Struts stay in place and not bend the hood. That certainly was not economical.

So your using the ford performance strut with the redline brackets, correct?

I like to disassemble things.
I've had great luck with the Redline struts on other Ford vehicles and was interested in trying the Ford Racing struts until I saw the inferior hardware they were supplied with as well as your experience with them. No problem buying Redline again. I removed the stickers when I used them on my GT500 and will do so again.

Yes and if I had to do it over I'd buy the Redline and remove the sticker.
Buy the best and you will only pay for it once.
