Very enjoyable afternoon.

Thank you to Andy for setting the ball rolling for getting this opportunity organised, the lovely girls Karen and Stacey (was really nice meeting you both) for sending out the invites and a little mention to Colin and Dave (these were the guys that took my brother-in-law out around Dunton ) who work at the heritage centre for a good catch up.

The pic I took of Andy's old mustang and the white Ford GT together really brought back some good memories and seeing them both sitting there, I just had to occupy myself with an interior of an RS200 to compose myself.

Great photos and afternoon had there - I am in 3 of your photos!

I had a great afternoon there on Saturday and took along my Dad so it was a trip down memory lane for both of us.

The best thing was that it was a relaxed event with all the cars unlocked and you were actively encouraged to sit in them - smelling and feeling their history and miles was humbling...

For my Dad he could sit in Cortina's he used to drive as a sales rep and also see cars his Dad used to drive him around in when he was a child.

I could sit in my first ever car, a fiesta and another car I had, an XR3i.

The complimentary food was a really nice touch and great to see so many Mustangs outside parked up...

A great event and well ran with a relaxed feel and a real feel good factor!

Ahh the Escort Cosworth, my "realistic" dream car back when I was a teenager. Shame you don't see many on the roads any more. I remember seeing loads about 15 years ago, just as I started getting in to cars...

That was of course before I got addicted to the American scene :usa:

Actually disappointed I missed this. Would have loved to sit in an old school Fiesta again, my first car was a red 1987 1.1 Fiesta. Kinda wish I would have kept it! Probably was worth going to see the the new GT in the metal alone. Oh, and the burgers :cheers: thanks for the photos to those who posted...
