Ford GT500 Delay Apology Letter & Gift

Has anyone having a substantially delayed 2020 GT500 actually received a Ford Apology Letter and Gift as promised? I have previously heard from both Ford Performance and my dealer regarding this and have had no follow-up.

I am not referring to any Dealer Gifts that may have been shared with pending GT500 buyers, such as GT500 Development Books, Brochures, posters, coffee mugs or paperweights.


Also, how many were actually contacted and promised an apology letter/gift? Has anyone with a Ford Acknowledged Update Delayed GT500 even received their car as of yet?

Noah told me the same thing @FP. Haven’t seen anything and he last told me he didn’t know when it would ship. Whatever it is will not make up for the lack of a vehicle that is just sitting in the railyard, though some carbon fiber wheels would lol.

Yea anything that would benefit the car. Definitely don’t care about merchandise. Just sucks and all I wanted for Christmas was to have my car and that doesn’t look like it will happen.

I ordered at the start of August and I still don’t even have a VIN. I heard nothing about a gift from Ford.

No. I call ever Friday and inquire about the “material hold”. It is a Shadow Black base GT500, no stripes, no Recaros. Tech package with carbon fiber dash. I still don’t have a VIN.

Every week they say, “call back next week”. I’ve never been told about a gift or apology letter from Ford.

I'm about 2 weeks into "Released to Body Company". Starting to think it was damaged at the LV Media Event and is now being patched up at Earl Scheib or Maaco.
