I don't know .

I did not get a quote.

The RXT worked perfectly with the MT82 so not sure I needed a "rebuild ".

I suspect if the rebuild includes new discs it would be the cost of the discs and extra.

The box weighed almost 60lbs and was going to cost $60 shipping one way.

Hopefully they get you taken care of. Maybe do everything via online messaging so there is no misinterpretation?

I was also told they changed their policy and the whole assembly has to be shipped back to them so they can check / inspect it....

Hey boss ,you jumping off the MT82 ship ?
I thought you just had 2 rebuilt?

May be McLeod just hates us Hoosier boys .
Lol
I bet if they decide it needs a rebuild ,it is going to cost more than just the discs .

I looked at my discs and they look worn but not sure if that is normal .
I would hate to send it only for them say I need new ones and then insist I send the whole thing again .

Might be best to just get the discs especially if D&D has them(or can get them)

No - I'm still rocking the MT82(s). I have one with Calimer right now. The reason I called McCleod late last year is because on my locally built MT82 I was going to change over to the 26 spline input shaft. I decided to just stay with the OEM 23-spline after seeing what a PITA dealing with McCleod was going to be. The reason they changed their policy is because they were resplining the discs and the dealing with customer complaints due to other unrelated issues (pressure plate, flywheel, etc). So now they want the whole assembly back so they can inspect it. At least that is what I was told. When I'm ready for my next clutch I'm going to give Mantic a try.

Thanks man
But I am even more confused now .

I got an email from Billy saying it was okay just to send the discs .

"Thank You for your interest in McLeod Racing.

Yes we’ll be more than happy to service your discs with new hubs.

The cost is $100 plus shipping.

Once we get it, we’ll turn it around as quickly as possible.

Kind Regards,"

I asked specifically again about just sending discs only and he said that was fine.

Just un boxed the package I was going to send and reboxed the discs only to send .

If they end up asking me to send the entire assembly then it is all ready to go .

I need a break right now and hope I can get away with just re splining the discs .

Anyone had any issues with their clutch with just doing that ?

Well FINALLY got the car done. I have to say I dont know why Ford didn't do this from the start. It is such a more solid shifting experience it totally transformed driving the car . Like falling in love all over again. Anyone that can afford this should!!!

Nice and congrats!
Thanks again for the tip on getting the RXT discs resplined.

It's that good huh ?
Any more NVH ?
Not that it could be any worse than my old MT 82.
I knew it was nosisy but was not sure if the whine was the rear end or the transmission.

I know now as the guy who I sold the transmission to is whining about it even louder !
Good thing he is only using at as spare while he has his built .

Zero added NVH; mine is quiet as heck. I do get some NVH from rear axle due to my differential inserts, but thats not the transmission at all.
