I finally had a chance to take my car to the track tonight the weather wasn't perfect but not horrible either. 78*F with 90% humidity, there was a good bit of fog as well. I have a 2016 Mustang GT Auto with 3.15 gears was running the stock 235/55 r18 Pzero nero's at about 28psi. The car weighed in at 3,775 lbs.

I made four runs and am happy with the results. The third run looks a bit odd to me though it was the quickest run of the night but trapped 2 mph slower than the other 3. The first two runs I left off at idle, the 3rd I launched at about 1500 and the last one I launched at about 1100 rpms. The track prep seemed pretty good tonight I was able to get .86 on the accelometer, I was at .67 before I went to the track.

I took a picture of the slips in the order of the runs.

That's the plan the DA was around 1500 last night. Next week a cool front is coming through and should drop the DA down around 200.

Any insight on why i lost 2 mph on the quickest run? I was running quicker and had more mph in the 1/8th but lost 2 mph in the quarter that seems odd t me.

Not bad at all man! Do you happen to pay attention to your IAT temps when in the staging lane? I always try to idle the car as little as possible, and want to be under 100 degree IAT on the run. If it creeps up too high, the car will pull timing, and that may have been where you lost the mph on your run.

Good luck!

** Edit: Actually, I forgot you were running 1/4... IAT should have been down by the 1/8th mile point... I run 1/8th mile and my IAT has affected me before on those shorter runs.

Maybe it started to make the shift into 4th right before the traps?

Nice runs, congrats!
