1999 - 'cuz that's what I own. And I like the 35th Anniversary appearance package; there's a lot more unique to it than the 40th or 45th cars had...

Are we referring to the plain Jane GTs? If so, my vote goes to the 2011-2012 GT. Something about the pre-facelift S197 in Kona Blue with the Brembo brake package wheels just looks so right.

If we're referring to plain GTs with a bit of make-up, then my vote goes to the '08 Bullitt. :)

I'm a fan of the '05-'09 S197 body, and the best of those would be '08-'09 Bullitt for the GTs and again, '08-'09 for the GT500s (the KR in particular...).

:)

I've always had a soft spot for the 85 GT. Last year for the carburetor, super light and easy to work on.

1986 GT. 2nd Year of the 8.8 axle, first year of the fuel injection and last year of the 4 eye design and the best of the 4 eyed cars. I will also mention it was the lightest of the GTs because after that... they started packing on the pounds! stupid body kits...

My sister had one. Black, T-Tops, 5 speed. The first car I ever drove (at 16 yrs old, mind you) that set me back in my seat. That car had a lot of torque for its weight. To this day I still believe that I could do a better/longer burnout with that 85 GT than someone else could with their stock 11-14 Coyote.

+1

That and the 2011-2012 are my favorites. But the 2015 can easily take the top spot on my list if it lives up to its paper (already tops the list for looks, IMO).

For me it is the 2015. With the exception of the late 60's through early 70's, I have never been a huge fan of American cars. The 2015 GT is the first American car that has got me excited. Ford did a good job of pulling in a buyer like myself by adding IRS and styling the car a little "less-american".
