A group has been doing events at an old airfield in the area the past couple of years. Last year they did 1/3 mile, but this year I did 1/4 mile for the first time. No prep at all. Think just showing up to a runway that hasn't been used in 20 years. Anyway, my speed was pretty good, but my time and 60ft were not. I could not launch the car. I had two people comment that with that speed I should be in the mid to high 10's. How much of that do you think is due to the surface? Would a prepped surface make that much of a difference (1+ second) or is it probably more me?

They had a timing system but I was also using a draggy. As you can see, they dont really agree. I would think the draggy is probably more accurate.

60ft is everything. Did you air down those drag radials to 16.5-17psi cold? How’s your rear camber? Factory rear camber is not ideal for launching.

I put them down to 18. Haven't done anything with the suspension. Is that something you need to have a shop do? Just changed the half shafts.
