What? This is horrible news . I almost have my Whipple installed and no where to go but Dallas. Texas passes the most strict street racing laws ever and no legal place to race. Just my luck I guess. Thank you for the information, much appreciated.

Yeah, the track was barely cooled off from the last event on April 1 before demolition of the tower began. They started tearing up the track last week. It's really depressing. :(

I am an hour and twenty from Lebanon Dragway in NY. I am an hour and forty five from Island Dragway in NJ.

They had a dirt track years ago but that hasn't been in use for a while. There was no road course at HRP.

MSR Houston is still open and does events almost every week on their road course.

We still have Orlando Speed world which is a few hours away, Sunshine Speedway which is an absolute shithole I no longer go to (whom the State owns the property on) and Bradenton Motorsports which is an hour away.

I do fear with the value of property in FL that none of them will be there very long. Clettus Mcfarland bought the circle track next door, hopefully it helps keep the dragstrip open.

I have been racing at Bradenton since the early 90s. From the interstate to the track it was a 2 lane road without a single stop sign and I think 1 small gas station. Now it is a 6 lane road with Condos, golf courses, Publix's etc with 15 stop lights.

The Phoenix one was closed. In Tucson we still have a 1/4 track and we also have a couple of private road courses that hold 1/4 mile events because of the length of their straights.

I'm 73 miles away from New England Dragway. Which is located in Epping, NH. I drive my car there, drag it, and drive it home.

Goddamnit! I swear to god, everytime I want to do something fun with the Mustang it fucking breaks on me. Was supposed to drive it to Vegas for a vacation... It broke a Roush Blower Pulley and serpentine belt. 3 weeks in the shop trying to get Roush to warranty it.. Supposed to drive it to Lake Havasu and Vegas with a Camaro club and do laps at the Nascar track... Blew a piston at 23,000 miles and warranty was denied because of LTH with no cats. I didn't pay the $13k for a new motor but it was covered by an extended extended warranty... That was January of this year. Got the car back with a new motor last week.. Supposed to go to the drag strip this weekend... Car threw a fucking CEL for the same goddamn thing.. Misfires.. Back to the shop.

Track closes in June... Mother F'ers... Too damn hot right now but I better be able to go another time before it closes.

Michigan still has several drag strips. At least 5 that I can think of.

Milan was shut down for awhile after the prior owners lost it to the pawn shop. It opened up again last year though with new owners (who hopefully are running it better, I haven't made it there yet to try it).
We have the newly renovated Lapeer International. They have been in court with neighbors for a couple of years so haven't been able to run everything that they wanted; unfortunately one of the neighbors fighting them is the former owner.
Out in the thumb we have Ubly Dragway. It runs west to east which is kind of nice since the prevailing wind is from the west so you get a tailwind usually there.
There is Mid-Michigan and US131 as well.

I'm not sure if Onondaga is open or not. It seems to open, then close, and then is open again, then closed again. So not sure what the status is there.

Don’t take my post the wrong way about the car. I love the mustang. I am pissed the track is closing. I wouldn’t have bought the car if there wasn’ta strip near by. I like to race. I don’t need to antagonize myself so I don’t buy cars like this. Can’t blame the casino for selling. They get 40 million and a freeway overpass with less liability.
