I’ve tried searching for days to find what the difference is between the US and Aus spec Ecoboost engines.
The US has 2 versions (231kw and 246kw) and neither seem to match the Aus version (236kw). The Aus version of the car appears to have the High Performance Package except for engine output.
Is this a regulation issue? Difference in fuels? Does anyone know or have an idea where I should be searching?

Australia gets the "High Performance" version, which, apart from more power, also has bigger brakes, and thicker sway bars to the standard EB. You can draw your comparisons below.

Our cars lost a couple of KW due to the difference in Emissions Standards to the US - and the Euro Cars lost even more due to the extreme Green Nanny Nazis.

However with Bidens new tighter "Green" Envio standards applying to the new S650 / MY24 Mustangs, we might end up with the same power ratings as the US cars - although at this early stage, they seem to have dropped the H.P. EchoBoost I4.

This is for thr MY22

Cheers. That answered my question around power output. Looks like emissions laws is the reason.

I was this years old when I realised (reading the spec sheet) that the lovely V8 in my car is built in Canada, not the US!
