Yeah I think you’d be hard pressed to find a shop that will fix that due to it being in the sidewall. Some might suggest you could plug it yourself, but I wouldn’t, especially if it’s for track duty or even spirited driving. To me the risk outweighs the reward.
That can be glued/patched without an issue. I wouldn’t track it, but regular day to day isn’t an issue. That’s a simple fix if you have the correct materials.
They patched it up with a rubber sealer and a piece of patch from inside. I wouldn’t track it either. It’s for street use from now and on until I buy a new set.
I would think the sidewall area has too much flex and movement for the repair to last. I ve had punctures in the same spot. Put a patch until I could get a new tire on. Obviously it can be done though. I d say a temp fix .
