Yeah I think you’d be hard pressed to find a shop that will fix that due to it being in the sidewall. Some might suggest you could plug it yourself, but I wouldn’t, especially if it’s for track duty or even spirited driving. To me the risk outweighs the reward.

She ded. I’ve plugged tires
there before for short time use, but it’s something that can and will betray you at any time.

The shop near me said they could patch it up.

It lost air. I took off the wheel and took it to the shop. They are patching it up from inside tire.

Short term fix at best. Not worth the risk. The location compromises the structural integrity of the tire.

I was told patch will not hold on the curve or sidewall. Your call?

That can be glued/patched without an issue. I wouldn’t track it, but regular day to day isn’t an issue. That’s a simple fix if you have the correct materials.

They patched it up with a rubber sealer and a piece of patch from inside. I wouldn’t track it either. It’s for street use from now and on until I buy a new set.

I would never go to that shop again, for anything. That is a non-repairable tire, plain and simple.

Never mind, I see I’m too late to the party. Hope it doesn’t come apart suddenly and kill you, but hey, your choice.

I would think the sidewall area has too much flex and movement for the repair to last. I ve had punctures in the same spot. Put a patch until I could get a new tire on. Obviously it can be done though. I d say a temp fix .
