clutch peddle gets heavy after extended driving on freeway.

Pushing the clutch peddle a few times gets it back to normal but it can get heavy again.

I had the brake fluid changed last year. Any chance that is related ?

Have the same issue on my 2017. Started noticing earlier this year on a trip from KC to StL. Now it seems to occur on shorter trips. Car has around 34K miles. Clutch, pressure plate and flywheel was replaced under warranty in 2019 when a hub spring broke. Throw out bearing/slave is original.

my car ended up at dealership. Dashboard lit up with AdvanceTrac, ABS, what looked like an Airbag icon, and a Wrench. Cruise control stopped working and the power steering is different.

So we will see what they say about the clutch issue as well.

Well sorry for the other issues. Hoping they are solved along with the clutch.

car is back from dealership. They replaced a rear wheel bearing assembly and that fixed the warning lights for AdvanceTrac / ABS, etc. This was covered under Ford extended warranty.

They also bled the clutch / brake system and said that should work. The previous year I had the brake fluid changed at a local independent shop and clutch peddle symptoms started some time after that.

I ended up getting clutch assembly replaced (with OEM clutch) at dealership. Ford extended warranty did not cover.

Problem has since resolved. I didn't get an answer as to what the problem was, but I suspect either pressure plate or throw-out bearing rather than clutch itself.
