Yep, fully agree ! Only on a few colors it's a good match...Black, DIB, Ingot, Magnetic.

Bro! That is one sexy Mustang. I HATE CHROME, but on this color and with those white tail lights, It looks elegant and menacing

IIRC its plastic on non PP and foamed plastic on PP (take with grain of salt, better try and look for yourself)

Equally confusing like people using RR for the colors

I would skip the Custom Pack if you are considering any of the bright non-metallic colors, such as RR, TY and CO. I have seen them with and without the custom pack and I think they look better without in my opinion (my personal taste). Despite the white taillights, which don't look half as white in reallife.

The Metallic colors are all fine with the chrome. My own being a prime example

That is for you to decide.
For me, it would be (looking at race red), especially since the Premium Package costs more than the components, sans the silver wheels.

On the other hand, you can play 100% safe, order the Premium Package, and paint the wheels/Chrome parts yourself.

Attached is the volcano orange one I drove ;)
Below is a race red with premium.
Non-Premium Silver looks cool as well, but wife vetoed it
