Can a tune program a high rev when starting???

The GT500KR has a very distinctive quick high rev sound when the engine is started. Almost like a Nascar and only lasts for a split second. Much different than just a standard GT500. I know that these KR's were sent to Shelby for the conversion and have a Ford Racing exhaust, intake and retune. I just ordered an SCT tuner and I was wondering if there is a way to program the computer to have a deep quick high rev sound when the engine is started?

Sorry I can't help with your question. When I fire up my 2011 5.0 cold start it has a very serious bark, but I think that's mostly due to the loud exhaust I have with longtube headers. All cars have a high-idle when first started.

QUESTION FOR TUNERS:

Can you adjust the revs when starting the car?

The GT500KR had a very quick rev "bark" for a second or two before the revs came down. Any way to program this with a SCT tune??? :cheers:

im pretty positive it just has to do with the engine being cold started and how the exhaust flow comes out of your exhaust for the first seconds.

It's just a normal cold start on a car with an exhaust. Put an exhaust in your car it it'll be louder.
