I've been looking into getting an open top CAI, and have seen that many people don't seem to notice any difference in IATs after upgrading.

Has anybody made the switch to an open top CAI while also using a ram air hood? I've got the Trufiber hood and it directs air to the stock airbox location. Doesn't make a difference in IATs with the stock airbox, but was hoping to get the input of someone who had the hood and an upgraded CAI.

It also directs rain water into your airbox.

I actually made a separate post specifically about that a while ago and people said that isn't true.

We have several cars in the FL & GA and we have done testing on our own Mustangs through various conditions (normal driving, stop lights, etc. through Florida rainstorms) with no issues.

If this was an issue, you would have more threads about & customer's voicing their concerns - which isn't the case.

Best Regards,

TJ
