C6 z06 vs gt350

me and a buddy decided to get together to test our cars. we went to a closed course event, with a bunch of cars, but the point of us going is to test the c6z and my car the gt350. did 2 runs, both of them the vette out ran me by a car from 50-130. anyone know why? all my shifts were spot on and i launched it to the cars best ability. yes i know the cars not meant for straight line, we were just testing the car and what it can do. so if you dont like it you can click the X on the top right corner of the page. thanks for any help

Um the C6 Z is crazy light. That could be the only thing.

It's probably around a 500 pound difference. And the Aero is probably better.

The C6 corvette zo6 with zo7 package is even faster than the current gen c7 z51 package! Those cars are around 3130 lbs with ls7 engine! Think about them as a z28 camaro on some serious weight loss!

Weight and cubes. 31XXlbs with 7.0L vs 38XXlbs 5.2L. The fact that you only lost by a car is actually surprising.

yes pulled by a car, with no room left, we let off haha, i pulled ahead by a car and a half afterwards the z06 just pulled me like nothing after 120 and put a car on me, i guess lightweight is the factor here.

I battle with a turbo C5z all the time. We trade wins. He traps 160ish but doesn't have near the suspension or short time that I have. So my 150ish trap holds up a lot of the time.

I just tested a 2009 LS3 C6 for a friend last night who was looking to purchase it. That torque and light weight is killer, still hope to get a ZR1 in the future.

Be happy that you only lost by a car. Should of lost by quite a bit more in my opinion. Stock c6 z06 are typically 124-125mph trap cars.

At those speeds, I suspect aerodynamics (Cd, frontal surface, etc.), the C6 is pretty slippery. Also assuming he's stock
