Been helping a long time friend/racing buddy build a new nose for his '74 LeMans when the original 1973 Grand AM urethane nose just started breaking off in chunks. He bought a fiberglass repro for 1000 USD. Didn't even come close to fitting correctly (too wide, contours didn't match, blah, blah) . This is by far the most ambitious thing we've ever done. I cut it into 3 pieces just like the original. Placed the center section first, then slowly measured, shaved, rinse & repeat with the 2 other sections. Got it to the point where it now sits just like factory. Next up will be figuring out a way to mount the grills, headlight bezels, and attaching in to the front valance. Got about 50 hours into it and it still looks like this ha-ha.
