Some members have used a wrap on the brushed aluminum on the dash, but I want to do a wood veneer on mine. How hard is the removal process, or if someone has done it, could you point me toward a thread?

It all just pops off, there's maybe one bolted in on the driver side.

Wood veneer? Sounds kinda unusual, but please post pics if you do it.

I wonder if they make a wood veneer "wrap"? I've seen lots of crazy colors and finishes.

Thanks, did not want to "gorilla" it in the event it had plastic fasteners.
There are lots of clips in there to gorilla off, this isn't the full thing but should give you an idea. If you check the Sync 3 conversion thread you might be able to find the link to the replacement clips. There are some orange ones available on ebay for $12 for a set of like 100.

Not sure how much use the trim tools will be. I have a decent set and they did nothing for me. Start on the far right and work your way left back to the wheel. While I didn’t break any of the tabs, 4 of the tab clips came off of which 3 were recovered. Might be handy if you could get the tab clips prior to the project. Good luck with your project. I’ve attached a few pics so you can see where the tabs are and where to apply steady pressure. I’m interested in seeing how this turns out.

The only screw is in the bottom of the light switch cover plate. You will most likely lose some plastic clips no matter how careful you are.
