So I finally completed blacking out my interior. This includes a RTR shifter for my 10R80. This is such an amazing improvement in look and feel! Took door panels off and painted internal door handles, dash came off and painted gauges, special radio knobs from 5 Spurs.
Overlays in different areas all painted satin black. Tell me what you think!

Looks great, nice work! How much time do you have in it?

Very nicely done. I agree - the stock 10R80 shift knob is cheap plastic and the difference after replacement is unexpectedly satisfying.

It really makes the car a different experience - pushing down on the shifter just makes it feel …… better!

Yes, that's what I meant by unexpected. The car just feels different, almost like the vibe completely falls into place with a new shift knob. Very cool!

I agree 100% ! The RTR install was easy and price more then reasonable at around 100 bucks! Plus it was the exact same satin black I was using on the rest of the interior!
