So I thought I read a topic a while back about someone who has both the 350 and the 350R and their thoughts but I can't find it? Maybe it was a dream? I have the 350 but have a lead on an R with a reasonable ADM and as they say, a fool and their money.... So I have considered an R for a toy and the 350 to replace my M3 as a DD?

Ben Treynor has both.
Found this comment from him on one of his Instagram posts about the GT350...

Question: How is the ride competed to the R?
Ben's answer: MUCH better. The R is a track car first and street car second. This is the other way around.

I would totally agree with Ben and his comments.

The GT350 and GT350R are two completely different cars and each is outstanding in it's own right.

It is much the same as when I jump into my Boss 302 and then drive one of my Laguna Seca models right after that only the difference between the GT350 and the GT350R being even more pronounced in terms of difference between a Boss 302 and a Laguna Seca.

Some people may not like many of the differences that the GT350R brings compared to a non R but I absolutely love both cars even though they are much different.

For anyone that is in a position to find and purchase an "R" model you certainly will not be disappointed at least that is my opinion.

Thanks Ford!!:ford:

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

.

I would agree with this 100%

I had a 350 Tech Pack for about 4 months before i got a 350 R. The non R is definitely more friendly around town, little smoother. I found i was driving the Tech Pack in sport mode all the time, with the R i only put it in sport mode on really smooth roads. The R also tracks more, gotta have both hands on the wheel.

The other thing i notice the R is a little bit louder, on the Tech Pack i had the resonators removed so you'd think it was the same, but the R seems a little louder.

Lastly the R gets noticed a lot more.

I think the rear seats in the Tech really absorb some of the sound. I drove tonight with the rear seats folded down, as suggested by raiderjatt02, and it is much louder inside the car. Guessing somewhat like the R?
