I was wondering if anyone installed a front camera to judge the clearance of the chin spoiler , especially on lowered cars. My stock ride height clears most curb stops but I'm still paranoid and if I lower the car in the future, it concerns me.

Good advice. The hood is deceivingly long but sometimes I park way far back and I look like a dick parking.

Not any worse than the truck guys that have to back in to their spots...

Just check the backup camera and see that you are lined up with the end of the lot striping and you're good. No one said you had to go further..

I think OP is more taking about clearance from the ground, speed bumps, ramps, etc. not necessarily distance from the front of his hood to an object in front. I have also wondered this same thing when lowering my car which is partly why I haven't done it yet.

Yes, this is mostly what I am referring to. The chin spoiler on my PP1 stick out quite a bit.

I bought one of these on a good sale over boxing day: https://www.amazon.com/FenSens-Smart-Wireless-Parking-Sensor/dp/B0711ND5ZS
It is not a camera but it has a display with bars showing how close you are to an object. You can customize the sensor to know how far your chin spoiler sticks out from where the sensor is mounted on the license plate. For the price (on sale), it's not a bad product and worth trying. It has come in handy in some tight parking spaces!
