Was wondering if any of you have unbolted the whole rain tray from hood. There is a groove set into the hood itself that looks like a gasket should be there. Can't find it on the parts diagram. Thanks for your time

Yes, had it off. No gasket.

I see what you are saying about the contour on the hood. I suppose a gasket would have been a nice touch.

Does the vent WITHOUT raintray look OK? Is it finished or eye pleasing or does it look like something is missing? I have only seen a few pics and can't really tell and likely something you would only notice in person.

It is a gorgeous piece whether the rain tray is in place or not.

Has anyone considered painting the vent body color? It crossed my mind when I thought i might paint the bumper center body color but have since done a 180. I may have to photoshop body color vent but likely the black contrast will look better.

Not sure I'd want to lose the contrast it offers. They are painted though...

A booger green hood vent may not look to bad on a Shadow Black car, but then it wouldn't be body color.

All you can do now is get under the car and start tapping on the belly pan and hope you hear the bolt bouncing around.
