Hey man! I got an OUTRAGEOUS quote (nearly the cost of another Roush supercharger) from a local shop after he quoted me on headers + custom dyno tuning and recommended a heat exchanger + install.

I definitely want to get headers, it's just a matter of when. I was going to call another shop about an hour or so away, but then I ran across a post of a guy selling his Whipple that I may consider buying very soon (and sell my Roush setup). If I can get his Whipple, I'll have headers installed not too long afterwards. Otherwise, I'll end up getting another shop to do them.

Just waiting at the moment though :(

Lol yeah that's way more reasonable. I was pretty much just curious about the nearby shop, but figured they'd be charging out the ass either way. Hopefully I can snatch this whipple in the next few weeks or just see if this other shop about an hr away can do the headers for me.

Sucks being around such a limited number of people that can do stuff.

Didn't get a chance to put in the vertical links today -- got really caught up with work. Supposed to be going pick up my wheels tomorrow though... Gonna only have my car 2-3 days before having to go to San Jose for 2 weeks for work. :frusty:

Finally got my wheels back and they're sooooo beautiful! I actually like the finish on these more than they were originally.

So here's the work that the first shop did, which didn't satisfy me:

And here's the work that the second shop did, which is perfect for me. It has a little flake in it too so it looks so much better up close to it. From afar, it looks just matte gunmetal.

I thunk it depends on the shop you go to. Around here it's between $75-140 per wheel. First ship was expensive and did a pretty bad job whereas the second shop was much cheaper and did a perfect job. Crazy right??? Lol
