AIRAID CAI MODIFIED, TUNE ONLY...

Any here modified their box type Airaid CAI for tune only? If so, please provide pics, as I have a tune for it but don't know what exactly needs to be removed. Otherwise, I will purchase a JLT CAI. Thanks for any feedback you may have as far as your appreciation for the gains noticed and drivability.

As far as i know (speaking for the V6 CAI), the airaid does not come with a restrictor that needs to be removed for tuning. Don´t take this to heart though, our engines run MAP sensors which means no tune is really required for any CAI. the coyote runs MAF so maybe there is a restrictor.

I just installed my air raid intake this week. I have no idea what your talking about as far as a restrictor plate is concerned?

The Airaid intake pipe has a restrictor in it that is not removable, could be cut out then would require a tune but as far as the box goes it doesn't seem to be very restrictive.

Ahh I see. I bought my intake as part of a kit that came with an SCT X4 tuner so maybe I did not receive this piece. Im going to have to do a little research on this plate to make sure I don't have it.

Airaid cai.

The airaid cai for the 2015 gt has no removable venturi like the years past. This is why it can be used without tuning.
