What do you think about adding stickers to your car's windows/bumpers/ panels? I was considering adding one to my back window until I saw my friend's 5 yr. old car with completely faded stickers. So then I thought you could just take it off once it fades. But another friend of mine said that over time the sticker will leave a "halo effect" on that area of the tint. Fact or myth?

I've taken stickers off after having them on for years. No issues, just use an industrial strength cleaner to get the leftover gunk off. Not to mention tint is on the inside of the window and stickers are on the outside :) hahaha

The fact or myth is the question on the horsepower added. :)

No stickers. My car is not a comic book. Even my dealer didn't put a sticker on the car when they prepped it. I never asked him not to but after the fuss I gave him to not drill the bumper I think he was just gun shy.

Out in the desert that sun beats down. Over time I assume the window tint would fade, except where the sticker was?

Maybe over the course of 20 years or something. Tints designed to not fade or be damaged by the sun for years on end.

I won't put ANY sticker on this car, as a personal choice, but I had one (my French hometown rugby team), so I get it lol
As for damaging your tint, the only thing that can eventually damage it would be UV rays (lets say some being blocked by your sticker preventing the tint underneath from fading, while the rest of it would), but physically glass cuts a great amount of these UV rays who might get to your tint ending up making it fade ;)
Which is why tint is so durable, and is not applied on the outside of the window I assume too :)

Depends how cheap you went with the window tint. I got ceramic tint this time around. In any case, leave the sticker bombing to the Hyundai's.

i worry about this same thing with Vinyl... I'm afraid if I put on VINYL after 5 years when it starts to fade and I remove it the darn car will have areas where the vinyl was look new while everywhere else looks like its been aged hardcore.
