Was driving home the other day...

Started Car
Turned on AC (Auto, 70 degrees, interior recirculation on)
Fan motor icon on Sync display appears in bottom right hand corner
Goes from OFF - 100% speed, back to 0, back to 100% speed for 30-45 seconds
Ends at OFF
Turn back on AC (Auto, 70 degrees, interior recirculation on)
Unit blows significantly hotter air out of the drivers side, passenger side is warm, but not as warm as drivers side
Takes FOREVER to get the temp in the car down

Evaporator leak? Air diverter door/servo failure? Thoughts?

It's going to the dealer, but I like to be prepared before going in. Also, dealer is taking FOREVER to get back to me, multiple messages, no call back.

Same exact thing happened to my 2015 eco-boost premium a few weeks ago... Dealership had to replace the A/C door actuator.... Mine was covered by the warranty... If yours is out of warranty this could potentially be a major expense to repair if they have to remove the dash to get to it... $1800 is the norm for that.... Hope this helps.

That's my problem as well (minus the fan speed shenanigans) They tried resetting the software for the blend door first, but that worked for maybe 5 days. Just heard yesterday that they found a crack in my condenser.

I had the same symptoms. A week ago it was 100* here and I went for a trip about 100 miles. The car was parked in the garage, ~85*. It took a while (maybe 5 minutes) to start feeling cool air and it wasn't near as cool as normal (cold). Plus the air felt more humid than usual. The car never cooled off for that trip, I sweated. 2 days later I took the car to the dealer and was worried they might say there's no problem because it was only about 85* and you could feel some cool air, just not normal. The dealer said the freon was low, they found a leak in a line and replaced it.

God I hope it's a line leak... That activator door sounds absolutely horrible to repair and I'd question the reassembly of the entire dash...

Mine was just diagnosed today and the evaporator has failed. It will need to be replaced, it's a 2 day repair due to the amount of labor to disassemble the dash to get access to it.

Now it's time to investigating the repair for the days/week after to make sure there is correct assembly.
