I sell prepainted parts for Ford Mustangs and F150's on many platforms including ebay/forums/facebook for 15+ years. I've met many people over the years on here and love the community! I've sold 1000's of parts and pretty much have a very good system at this point with getting perfect color match.
Significant upgrade over the OEM touch pen...WHY? Because the OEM touchup pen is lacquer paint, a technology used in the 1970's. This is paint that has built in "shine" into the color to be applied as 1 step. Primer/Basecoat/Clearcoat is the new standard that has been used since 1980's. With my kit, you get all 3 to match you OEM color.
I've sold 1000's of these so far, and I have successfully gotten a perfect color match on all OEM colors.
I saw a demonstration of these touchup bottles used and I was really impressed so I bought them to give out to my customers. Everyone absolutely goes nuts over how well they work...I even launched a few ads on here and the response has been phenomenal!
I put together a touchup kit that i'm really not making much money on. It's basically just a way for me to advertise alittle and put myself out there while helping out the community.
Primer, this will stop corrosion or iron deposits that happen on metal panels that have chips. It also is self leveling and creates one of the strongest bonds i've ever used on any primer. This primer I used on EVERY part I use.
Basecoat, I use various brands from PPG, to Automotive Arts, Debeers. Over the years i've learned that certain brands have better color match for specific paint codes. I have all the colors premixed in gallon containers that I pour off into these bottles.
Clearcoat, I am including a highend, high solids clearcoat that will protect and match factory gloss.
