Anyone tried to run the 3.5" pulley on straight 93 pump gas? I only ask as this was the pulley that came with the blower I purchased used, stock size damper and 3.5" pulley.

I run the 3.625 on 91 (CA) with no additives and no adjustments on the Whipple tune and I have zero knock. Leads me to believe you shouldn't have a problem on 93. Shawn (@Roh92cp) is going to be trying the same thing here soon. Reach out to him for what testing he ends up with.

Thanks guys. Saves me a few $$ so I don't have to run out and by a pulley. FYI my setup is a 10 rib if anyone has one anyways they are lookin to move.

What boost does the 3.5 equal? 14psi!? Too rich for my blood.

How are you able to monitor the timing and knock activity on the Whipple tune and when you say it was knocking on higher timing was it the computer advancing the timing then it knocked and the knock sensors pulled it out ?

Probably started knocking at higher rpm and started pulling timing.. I was seeing like 19-22 of timing but with octane booster i use a ngauge I'm sure he does to

IMO 93 octane isn't enough to support 13 - 14 psi and that is what the 3.5 pulley should provide at around 7800 rpm at sea level. 1 psi is worth approximately 20 - 25 hp and 1 deg of timing is worth about the same, given those conditions I would rather run the 3.625 pulley and let the computer run more timing through out the entire rpm range. I would venture to say that you would make more power due to the timing not being pulled out.

Im dataloging using ngauge, lower rpm more timing, starts knocking and backs of , but Im going to switch fuel and see how it goes, hopefully tomorrow I get better results after longtube headers ,havent checked but lets see how it goes
