Buying new 20.9 and 20x10.5 wheels. What's the most economical tire size for this setup?
Also- What does everyone think of the Sumitomo HTR A/S P02 (W-Speed Rated) Tires???

265 Width would be the narrowest I would feel safe about running on a 10.5" wheel, some shops may feel differently.

I'd say a 275/35 in back 265/35 in front would be the most economical option.

As far as the Sumitomo goes I went with them on my 14 GT with 20" wheels. I didn't know much about them but I was actually impressed. They are by no means a top tier tire but they lasted well, had decent grip in dry/rain/snow and held up to a few bouts of spirited driving. Can't say for sure if they would hold up in autocross or not but better than I was expecting.

I would run a 255/40 front and 305/35 or 305/30 rear.

Economical? That's an odd question. Cheapest? Longest tread life?

I can't go cheap, and I can't go the most expensive either. For the 20x9/10.5 setup, I was looking at the BF Goodrich Comp 2 A/S Tires. They have a 255/35-20 for the front, & 285 or 305/30 for the rear, and it looks like it would cost right around $800 (total price after install). They are also the #1 rated tire in the 'UHP All Season Tire' category on tirerack.com, higher than the Michelins, Continentals, Pirellis, etc.
