It covered the holes no problem. Buuuut: That piece of plastic attached to the trunk lid they called a spoiler was a bear to get off. The screws came out ok, but that adhesive tape! Took me a full day to get it all off. AND, I did have to ream out one side and drill new holes on the other because it did not align very well . The add says NOT for verts. It should just say not for the faint of heart. Once done, it fits and looks factory. You also need to get a shorty antenna.

Ahh, purple. Whenever I see anything purple it reminds me of my mom, who taught me this Gelett Burgess poem when I was little, some 50+ years ago,

I never saw a Purple Cow,
I never hope to see one,
But I can tell you, anyhow,
I’d rather see than be one!

I miss my mom, now gone nearly 6 years.

I remember seeing your post regarding the seat covers. You mentioned at that time you planned on using a vinyl wrap over the body. Is the "paint" on the body in the images a wrap? Or did you have it painted?

I couldn't find anybody to paint it! Not a single shop around here would do it! They wouldn't even give a quote. So I ended up wrapping it. Its Inozetek vinyl in Super Gloss Metallic Midnight Purple.

BTW, it has fooled many people as to being paint or not. Even for some body shop folks, I needed to pop the hood to show it was not paint.

Impressive. I didn't realize you could get "gloss" wrap material. Is it actually metallic or is it pearl?

I'm curious because if the wraps really are available in gloss metallics or pearls they may actually be a superior solution to re-paints. They offer a degree of paint protection like the clear vinyl "bras" available for the nose, hood, & front fenders. There's also no overspray.

It is a metal flake and the stripes are a pearl with metal flake. Check out Metro Restyling web site. For a couple bucks they send you samples.
