Totally agreed and I took note that the driver made mention of a +300 pound weight difference between the two cars which is certainly substantial on an autocross and tight course.Interesting but not surprising. The GT350 is a great track car and on a tight track with no wide open straights the GT350 is better suited for autocross.
It was the same driver. I say this with confidence as I was there.Looks like two different drivers to me. If so the results could be skewed by the better driver in the GT350. He is talking like he was the driver in both but the shirt sleeves were different.
This is as large of an autocross course as they come.It would have been interesting to see a GT PP2 and an EB performance pack car run as well same day same driver on this very small autocross course. I wouldn't be surprised if the GT PP2 is very close to the GT350 times on a tiny track like that. Heck, it might be faster than the GT350. I know the times I ran small courses with the GT350 I had to be gentle with the car and it was tough to use the power even of the GT350.
Hopefully before long we will see the GT500 on a larger course.
Yeah I’m not a huge mustang guy more of a muscle car guy, but I do really like the new EB performance pack, that car must be a blast to drive and with 0-60 times around 4.5 it’s no slouch either,It would have been interesting to see a GT PP2 and an EB performance pack car run as well same day same driver on this very small autocross course. Didn't seem that large compared to the autocrosses near me. But to me if you can't get into 5th gear the track is too small. This is as large of an autocross course as they come.
LOL, 2 minutes of fame for the mister2!If it's Dixie's event on Feb 2nd, both cars have been raw timed by E Street MR2.... So - quoting thread topic from elsewhere - GT500 CFTP has been crushed and humiliated by 1990 MR2.
LOLOL.
