Hi All, sorry if this is a repeat thread, but I've looked and cannot seem to find WHY the 2018 GT350 Dome / Map light is dam near IMPOSSIBLE to pull down...this is my 4th Mustang - 2 - S195 and 1 - S550, and all the others came down easier...Has anyone encountered an issue as well, and if so what did you do?

Thanks in advance, and to all the Veterans out there, Thank you and your families for the service!

I've officially GIVEN up!!!!! There seems to be a "new" barb style clip and the more I played the looser it got, so I have given up 100%...

FWIW I found mine really hard to remove (on a 2017). Almost gave up too, but eventually one side popped free. It took what seemed like too much force - I ended up figuring that if I broke something I would just pay to fix it. It ended up all good though. Good luck.

Thanks...I ended up unscrewing Visor hook and securing radar cord there. I wanted an anchor point in the event the radar falls off windshield...didnt want it yanking the cord all the way back to fuse box...LOL...I installed remote switch for Escort...

Of all the different things I have pulled apart in the interior this has been the hardest as the clips are metal and mine too were very hard to get free. Did some plier surgery on them prior to reinstalling and now at least it is not ridiculous to get the housing off.

I too had this issue. I honestly don't want to break anything but I guess I just have to man handle it harder to get it off?

My 18 was way more difficult than the 16 as well. It sagged too much for me I ended up putting super glue on the tabs before clipping it back in.

So I did this to my '17 a week ago in order to swap out the map lights and yeah it was extremely difficult to pull off. I wound up breaking one of the plastic tabs on the housing. Suppose I'll just have to order a new one.

Did the same thing. I figured with LEDs, I should never have to pull it down again.
