What are you attempting to use to program with? And are you pulling AB data for a vehicle closest to yours in terms of features? Have you attempted to modify the ABD of the cluster yet?

Looks good though! Does it report auto gears correctly as it seems as though it’s not reporting any gear info in the pic? And did that wrench light come on when you installed the cluster? Could try reading any DTC codes from the cluster to see what we are dealing with.

Forscan and mx Bluetooth. Asbuilt codes in cluster were not correct. Tried to program but errors. Maybe need to take my tune off first

Asbuilt codes wrong in New cluster, it starts up with a blank screen then the gauges, no startup splash screen like on YouTube. Do I send back to Tasca, I emailed them with the issues we will see what they say.

Yes mine is an Auto, I have a Lund Tune and they were able to show the transmission gear in the stock cluster which was nice, AED was able to as well.

The cluster is looking to be initialized by a VCM II which is what a Ford tech would do to correctly program the module. For scan likely is not capable of doing that. I would have a dealer try to program it first and then you should be able to edit from there.

Got a tip from a friend. Forscan might not support the 2018 mustang and cluster yet which is why you are getting errors trying to write 2018 ABD. Try contacting forscan and see if they can send you a beta for 2018 support.

According to Tasca Ford I have to have it programmed now by a dealer for it to work properly or as it should of come from them.

No go on the LCD Cluster. Tried to PMI it and then I realized their is 3 more lines of code that I cannot add and it will not load the asbuilt ones from a 2018 that has 10 lines of code. 2016 only has 7 lines of 720 codes, I am guessing I would need to load the asbuilt codes with this cluster in a 2018 to program it properly. This sucks

Tried to PMI the cluster using IDS v108.1 latest on Ford's website and a waste of 150 for the 3 days use of VCM II.

I wonder if the 2018s with regular cluster have those three extra lines, and which module has it? Might be a 2018 module you'd have to swap in / program to make it work?
Considering the 2018s have a regular cluster option, they probably make it pretty easy to put in since having different code depending on the model would make very little sense.

Correct. Forscan does not seem to be compatible. You are going to have to resort to IDS and a VCM II which is the approved programming tools and software by Ford. Do you have access to these tools?

Yes I tried using a vcm 2 with ids latest version it would not work.
