So never one for lack of action, I emailed the sponsor about remote bidding and basically got a 'wire us your bank account' reply 
"Thank you so very much for your interest in our customized Mustang, I must say it is an absolutely phenomenal looking vehicle, most definitely one of a kind. Attached is the info our legal and finance departments have passed along for prequalification."
Looks like it might have raised enough cash for the charity for now...
