So... I finally got decent weather to hit the track. I made three passes and I cant wait t get back and try different approaches. My car is a 2023 Base 10R80 car. Mods as of now are Steeda Stop the hop starter kit, Weld Laguna 17x10's with MT 305/45/17 out back. PP1 wheels up front. 1st pass went 12.53 @ 115.4 with a 2.047 60 ft launching @2k, tires at 23psi to start.
Next pass lowered psi to 20 and launched again @2k. Went 12.57 @ 114.96 with a 2.044 60ft.
Last pass lowered air pressure to 18 but decided to launch @ 1500. This time it went 12.44 @ 115.09 with a 2.003 short time. BTW im here in central Fl. DA was about 1275. Next time out I'm gonna try launching off idle, then 1k, etc. What do you guys suggest? I'm open to suggestions. BTW advancetrac was off an all passes. I got to use the cool line lock feature.

First off, you dont need to lower the pressure at all in a stock car. Just run them at 30 and do a short burnout to first smoke. Then DONT foot brake it past like 500rpm because the stock tune has a dual foot table where the car will severely limit tq as RPMs go up when you are on both the gas and brake.

Get a tune and a CAI and if you have it local, E85. You should be able to run mid 11s on E with a tune and CAI.

Here is the dual foot table from HPT from my 22GT. My values were changed, so I believe the OEM calibration values are much lower. This was my base tune from my tuner at the time. I know he had changed lots of tq management in the tune.

I wouldnt. Idle is quite the snap to the driveline. I'd lean on it to say 1k maybe a tad more. Just to load up the driveline so its not such a shock through the converter. I always had my best short times at that 1400ish RPM. Since I got tuned, my car likes as much as I can give it before I push through the brakes. Which is usually 2k ish. Here's the last pass I made on E only before I went whipple. Also at BMP in bradenton.

Hoping I could cut a 1.8 or 1.9
Tomorrow fedex is delivering the Steeda vertical links, DSS Axles, and a resonator delete H pipe. Hopefully I can try again next week

Since you’re on a real tire, you don’t need any of that. My car is completely stock suspension wise. You won’t get any hop with a real DR. The guys trying to run on garbage nittos or stock tires or even like road racing tires will get some wheel hop as the tires let go of grip. Skip all that shit.

Its already paid for... Plus I figured I would get some suspension/driveline before I add power. I have historically done things backwards. I wanted to start on the foundation first.

I agree on the axles. Once you get a tune there is a way for the tuner to enable the trans brake. And you’ll be snapping stock axles if you use that feature. That’s pretty well known. Once you get the good axles then you can use it and that will really help with the short times. I don’t use that since my driveline is still stock. Now that I have boost, I run my ET street SS’s at 24psi. And go down as needed. I also run the 305/45/17.

Man I don’t know about listening to all the experts here. I took my wife’s off the showroom floor 22 Premium Convertible GT with an air filter on 20” Goodyears got a 1.91 (if I could of got another pass I’m sure I could of have got a 1.8x).
I had 22psi and launched as hard as I could before pushing through.
Be careful throwing money at you car and getting poor results. Here is a housewife’s stock Sunday convertible out 60’ your stripper coupe with mods and making a couple quicker passes- something we both know should not happen.
