Saw a 2013 GT with new Steve Drake Chrome retro lettering across the trunk
I thought it looked great,it had the wide spacing just like the earlier stangs
Just wondering if anyone has done this with their 2015-16 ?
If so please post a picture

The blue car letters seem bigger than the orange? I like the rear letters on the orange car not sure about the front letters on both cars. I was thinking of doing this to mine but- duh I have a vert with a rear brake light. My car is stored away for the winter:frusty::shrug:

I can see the blank deck lid with letters instead of the emblems - but not both

Agreed. Also dislike that Shelby puts their name right under the spoiler on these cars instead of a blank deck panel. Looks terrible with stripes, IMHO.

I'm pretty sure I remember reading that the chrome letters on DIB were individual letters the guy got from Auto Zone. I'm not sure about the letters on the CO. Those definitely look smaller....The guy who has the CO had made a comment about his being truly old school, so I'm guessing their size/font must match lettering on an earlier year.

FWIW, Don't buy "original" type letters. They require drilling holes in precisely the perfect spot. I had an issue with my '66 GT where the template was correct, but the reproduction letters are not! My fender badging looked like a drunk installed them, on the ones that did fit the holes. Drake makes a set of stick on's that saved my bacon.
