Any chance some body parts/wheels/ suspension will transfer over? I really love the look of that car, but can't afford the negative equity hit of a trade for one.
That front end is gorgeous.

I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere the Ford will be offering a lot of the parts, including engine parts (minus FPC- for now).

There is not much changed in terms of phisical dimensions between the regular Mustangs and the GT350. Everything can be done with aftermarket parts really. IMO unless you just want a Cobra and track it in stock form (not that you can't do with a regular Mustang), the GT is gonna be cheaper to modify.

The Mag suspension would be lovely to transfer over.

The gt350 body WILL NOT work with the GT. The whole front end is built differently and doesn't have to meet the world car safety features.

Even the fender mounting points do not line up with the GT's.

I was told by a Tire Rack tech that to get the wider rims/tires from the GT350 under you could do what's called a fender roll. The way I understood it was they heat up around the wheel well and roll the inner lip up. It gives you 10mm more clearance. The heat is applied so it to be paintless.

The Mustang fenders are already rolled. The fenders are different on the GT350. You mean pulled fender where the fender is pulled outwards.

Well if you want a flush fit you have to roll the fenders if they are not already rolled.

all of the parts, shipping, paint, labor are all expensive, and at the end of the day you all you have is a replica. You may as well just get the real thing.

This won't be the same as just changing a bumper and a hood like the old days.

Fender rolling is what the hellaflush stance-nation angsty crowd does to fit their sweet rotas. Ever heard of the baseball bat method? You're supposed to take a heat gun and a baseball bat for a DIY fender rolling. Seriously retarded stuff...not sure what kind of shitty metal imports were made of to allow them to use a bat to put a serious bend in their fenders.
