Hey guys. Cars look great. Quick q: Beside the turn signals, what did you guys do with your round factory fog lights? Just disconnect them and leave the wires hanging dangerously? Thanks!

Okay cool, thanks! And what about the impact on Ford's warranty? I've got another 3 years remaining on my warranty so i'm a bit worried about that.

Agree with zip ties. I did it with the connectors facing down so water doesn't pool in them. You can throw some tape over them for added measure.

The bumper isn't going to affect your warranty unless something you did with the bumper impacted another component due to a bad install or something like that (ie: pinching a headlight wiring harness, etc). But if your concern is the bumper voiding your warranty on another area of the car, that won't happen.

Guys, how did you decide what color to paint the gloss black parts of the bumper? I assume it's Ford's "Shadow Black" color?

I just asked the shop to paint it a plain black with no metallic - wasn't prescriptive on it.

That looks pretty sweet. How much did everything run you, including paint (did ikon paint it or yourself)?
Yeah it looks good but I’ve seen a few that don’t look right the 500 bumper looks to big for the front.

Couple updated shots. Added the gt500 side skirts to help match the width and lines of the front end better.

Yes. All of the gloss black pieces on this bumper are separate pieces (which makes painting them much easier for the shop). Additionally, I vinyl wrapped the "swoosh" shaped pieces with a hex pattern vinyl that emulates what's on the real GT500 bumper (first time vinyl wrapping - it's not as easy as I thought it would be!).
could you share where you found the vinyl with that pattern?

thanks

I damaged the passenger side canard/winglet thing. I contacted ikon and 777 if they had any replacement but they said no. They only have replacement chin spoilers. So I've been looking at either the same APR splitter posted or maybe something like ZL1 Addons.

It doesn't look bad but it's bad enough that it bothers me.

You can see the damage in this video

here's some pics just to add to the thread for those interested in the bumper.

Hey bro. It might just be a trick of the light but it looks like the centre bridge (between the upper and lower grills) is warping a bit? Is this the MPConcepts version and if so, do you know if that warp is a feature their entire line of stock? Thanks!
