Spied: 2018 Mustang Prototype with Active Quad Exhaust

As you know the 2018 Mustang has been out testing in full force and we just caught our clearest glimpse yet of the active, quad exhaust we expect to be an option on the refreshed 2018 Mustang.

This convertible prototype is also sporting a new set of shoes and shows hints of a closer to production-spec rear valence which takes influences from the GT350.

It's inevitable.

Happy they are going with quads for 2018, but it will make some aftermarket options a tad more expensive. Regardless, looks awesome.

New wheels also..those aren't foundry wheels either.

They sure look a lot like old torque thrusts....

What signs do we see to assume it's active exhaust? Not that I doubt it as we will see trickle down from the GT350. I also hope it comes with a digital speedo...

Quad tips.

Active exhaust should've been an option from the beginning. The car is ridiculously quiet stock.

Haha same. I don't like convertibles in general, but the mustang convertible looks... bleh.

There's something going on with the hood also...it has ridges running along the edges. No way to tell if that's intentional camo trickery, but there is absolutely some hood contouring going on there.

It looks like they got rid of the raises for a more flat hood also flush vents kinda like the one on the S197.

Anyone else seeing (possibly) 2 large front vents on the hood? Seems too dramatic of a drop for just a contour.

I like the wheels. Looks like they would be right at home on a Mach 1.

I'm also seeing the front side fenders step out some, almost like the GT350? Or I could just be imagining it.
