A local dealer has one, with a $5000 ADM. I checked the window sticker and it comes with a full set of winter tires and wheels ($1995) as an option.

Worth noting the Focus had the sport cup 2 tires. That has a lot to do with the track times. Still impressive though

It's still a FOCUS....a $50K Focus as a matter of fact..

I owned a 2002 SVT Focus for 10 yrs and loved that car. It was a great little pocket rocket. Great all around car but I wouldn't pay their current prices...Maybe if they came down I would consider.. I actually was going to wait for the RS but I am 100% glad I ended up with my GT Mustang....

Our PP GT bone stock was faster(Low 1:24's to high 1:24's) than the RS on a tight track. Maybe C&D needs to learn how to drive these cars to their potential. Real world track times (not magazines) has not presented an RS faster than a Mustang.

What an impressive car this is. I just wish I could get past that styling.

Unimpressed. It's lighter, has better tires, and is tuned to the max. It's still an overpriced Ford Focus and a lightly modded GT will beat it any day of the weak.

Nice clickbait title, by the way.

Was surprised to read this in C&D lightning lap tests. I say kudos to the Focus!

Yeah, it's a bit pricey for what it is, but it's knocking off cars costing far more.

Eh, MSRP on a base Mustang GT only adding PP is 36.8k, a Focus RS after adding the Cup Sport 2 tires is 38.7k.

Considering the weight advantage an RS has and AWD, it would be an interesting race. Regardless of what is faster around a track with two equal drivers (I'd bet on the Mustang) it's all in the family. :ford:
