CATCH CANS

In short a catch can keeps the garbage that normally would recirculate
into your engine into a can preventing it from going back into your engine.
Making it run more efficient and helps to prevent carbon buildup and knock.
Also, in the Ecoboosts it helps a lot with the smoke issue at idle.

So why isn't it standard on every car? You've gotta maintain it every now and then and a non car person might forget.

Which of these catch cans is the easiest to install and as well in use (cleaning, maintenance)?
Or is there one better for another reason?

Maybe if allowed put some links to movies on how to install the catch cans and the emblems?

For your Ecoboost, the easiest is the Single Valve one (2.3 Ecoboost Split Chamber Oil Catch Can). Here's a video of the installation video of that one. Also shows how easy it is to clean it (just unscrew) towards the end: [ame]

Personally, I'm running the Dual Valve system. After installing a new cat-back and downpipe, the car was smoking at idle. I was looking into catch-cans at the time anyway and the check valve between the catch can and intake manifold that comes with the dual valve system was said to help with the smoking issue. So you're hitting two birds with one stone with that one. Here's an installation video of Tune+ how I'd install both catch cans, cause it's indeed not that hard to take the intake manifold off (looks worse that it really is): [ame]

Both will come with a very clear schedule of the direction the hoses have to go and which clamps connect to which side of the catch can. But if you don't live to far and rather don't do it yourself, would be happy to help you.

To clean, the only additional work you'll have with the dual valve system compared to the single valve one, is that you'll have to unscrew the intake to replace the stock connection with the one that comes with the catch can. But that's only a few minutes.

Cleaning will be the fastest with the Single Valve system, but the Dual Valve is the bigger one so you could clean it less often if you'd like.

Note that the you might need the US rear decklid cause the holes might be different. I'm on it to get a solution for that :cheers:

Was looking into a UPR Dual valve, but with the crazy shipping prices you EU folks have up north and my gov't stupid value added taxes it's still a lot cheaper for me to get this from the US unfortunately... :'(

Was thinking of asking you for a price on the Magnaflow Street Cat-back for the Ecoboost too...
