This is absolutely the best 4-pt bolt-in roll bar kit on the market for the 2015+ Ford Mustang GT, GT350, or GT350R. Featuring construction from SCCA-specified 1.75" drawn over mandrel (DOM) tubing throughout with massive baseplate pods constructed from gusseted 3/16" steel. Our roll bar kit does NOT require removal of the rear seat, but is also compatible with rear seat delete kits as in the new GT350R. This was a primary design objective - allowing users to make their own decision to keep the rear seat or not - our solution is compatible with both. Another design objective was to absolutely minimize panel mods and we achieved that as well and this further improves installation time.

There is already a nearby thread regarding the challenges of taller people to find a comfortable seating position - and often the driver's seat is at its farthest rear travel point. Primarily in accommodation of ALL drivers, our roll bar design kicks-back the integrated harness bar to allow for increased seat travel. This allows the harness bar to maintain horizontal alignment with the pass-thru slots integrated into the seats and therefore to best (safest) positioning of shoulder belts.

We designed some massive baseplate pods that bolt into the car and which provide a foundation for the main hoop. These bad boys bolt into the car and have been designed with a “foot” that sits atop the OEM high-strength steel lateral beam connecting both sides of the car. This “foot” mitigates any sheer forces on the attachment bolts (all hardware in the kit is Grade 8) and instead transfers any vertical (downward) loads to the beam. In a roll-over scenario – this equates to ultra-high strength. With the baseplates in place the roll bar attaches to them using (4) Grade 8 bolts per side. The roll bar is entirely TIG-Welded throughout. EVERY bar kit has welds that look exactly like the random sample below.

In addition to providing additional roll-over protection, the roll bar stiffens the chassis and provides an aggressive look within the Mustang. We have paid careful attention to conform to the roofline and especially the transition from the vertical to horizontal elements. OEM front seatbelts operation is unaffected and these belts should continue to be utilized for street driving. (We offer belt clips and a 6-pt customized harness on our website.)

We have the following powdercoat colors in stock and available for immediate shipping: Ford Race Red, Ford Competition Orange, Gunmetal Gray, Satin Black. Sorry in advance for our crappy website, we are working currently to revamp and improve it. Here's the link to order the Roll Bar Kit.

anything easily removable for those of us that might want to stick our convertibles down the 1320 and maybe a road course?

Is the red one a preproduction unit and can we expect production units to be tig welded like you show in the bare metal pic.

Can it be bought with a straight harness bar?

Why no pictures of huge baseplates and how they attach to the floor? That is by far the most important part.

Do you have a Canadian supplier?
What most of our Canadian customers do on a large item like this is to ship to a company that is just on the US side of the border and then they drive over to get it. Allegedly there are many companies who specialize in this kind of service??

Well, we have given a little thought to that and wonder what would be the interest level. If you look at the down tubes, you will notice a connector up near the roll bar. What we have thought to do is to put a second connector right at the point where the roll bar passes through the large plastic side trim panel. Removal could then be done relatively easily - take the 8 bolts out for the main hoop legs to the baseplates and then un-do the bar at this lower connector. It will be interesting to hear how many others may be interested in this "quick removal" option.

Thanks for asking - you are exactly right. The red one in the pic is the pre-production and it was mig-welded. It was used to fabricate the jig and then all production units are fully tig-welded by an outside company. Honestly, ALL of their welds look just like the picture I included. (I can post more if there's interest.)

A straight harness bar is far easier to manufacture but wondering why you would prefer it?

Yeah, sorry, just didn't grab any. I'll look and see if we have. The baseplates attach to the OEM beam running across the car and as such, they do not attach to the far-weaker floor where punch-through would be a possibility. This OEM beam, in contrast to the floor, is comprised of high-strength steel and is virtually un-drillable as a result. We utilize some OEM holes in the beam along with some "nut sticks" to allow you to attach to the beam itself. The baseplates aren't "huge" physically but are "beefy" because they are constructed entirely of 3/16" steel. Weld-nuts are incorporated into the base plates - the same as in the base of our downtubes. This is to aid in installation so you will never be struggling to hold onto an almost-blind nut when you are tightening the bolts.

Do you offer Mig welded bars ?
Hi-PO Stang, I would like to learn more about the foundation of your question. Generally speaking, I think TIG is regarded as a superior welding process albeit often more time consuming and less tolerant of poor fitting components. There are governing bodies that will REQUIRE a TIG process - one example is NHRA's roll cage fabrication using Chromoly tubing which requires TIG. I think seldom, if ever, you will see a MIG process required over TIG. The fabricator that we use is a dedicated welding shop - and for more than a decade have specialized in cage fabrication. Every one of their welds is like a work of art. The only downside that I can think of with TIG is that it is frequently more expensive as it is a more time consuming process - and as I mentioned previously, is less tolerant of poor component fitment.

All that said, we will sell or red MIG-welded roll bar as shown in the pictures for a significant discount.
